Not sure what to say?

Brother in Arms, I still think of you today.

This will be my last post. It seems I am dominating the guest book. John was a great friend and co-flyer with me at Charleston AFB. I just want to say I will never forget John.

I still think of John often. Can't believe he has been gone so long. We lost a truly nice guy. It only let's me list one way I knew John so I selected work since we flew together. Friend was also my opinion.

John, it has been a lot of years. But I still remember your smiling face while we both flew, as navigators, in the 41st Air Lift squadron in Charleston SC. Met up with you a couple of times in the later years of our career. Good memories.

It has been a long time since I found out John had passed away. I was deeply shocked. So here I am thinking again about John, 14 years later. I knew and flew with John at Charleston AFB, when he was a navigator, as was I. I ran into John a couple of times in our military and civilian careers. I never saw John without a smile. I did see him turn red with embarrassment one time in San Antonio when we met for lunch. John was still on active duty and I had retired and worked for a defense...

I hadn't seen John since high school and college days in Texas, but I remember him as a delightful, open guy with a huge endearing smile, and never a harsh word to say about anyone. (Rare in this cynical world.) My condolences to his family and close friends.

Sorry for your loss, I hope you and your family are doing well. John was a good person and I know many will miss him.

Dear Mrs. Stampley, Jonathan, and Travis. I'm sorry to hear about Mr. Stampley. I was telling some one the other day about how Mr. Stampley introduced me to the wonderful plant, nettles, while we were at the Opal Zoo so many years ago. I may not have been happy at that moment but he sure got a chuckle out of it and it has since saved me from wandering into nettle patches ever since. You are in my prayers and thoughts.

Carolynn it was of course a real shock to hear that my friend and college roommate passed. I remember talking John into asking you for a date - one of the few times my meddling had such a wonderful result. I know how much John adored you and I am so grateful that you had the many years of love and family together. I will always carry John's memory in my heart.
