Not sure what to say?

As a fan that recently discovered his novel Vampires, I am sad to hear of his passing. I have NEVER read a novel so slow, just to take in the excellent writing and prolong the end of the book. He made his mark on this Earth, that´s for sure.

John wrote two of the greatest novels I've ever read. I learned of his passing late, and was greatly saddened by it. May his memory continue to be a blessing to his family and friends as his writing continues to inspire legions of fans. May he, Felix and Jack Crow tear across the Texas blacktop in a vintage Chevy 'til Judgement Day.

RUTHIE FULLER AND FAMILY

John was kind enough to sign a trade paperback copy of Vampire$ for me. My best memory of him was when he was Toastmaster at a NOSFFF. His obituary rings very true. He was a consummate Southern Gentleman. He will be missed. My deepest sympathy to the family. Harrison Jones, Garyville, LA

I enjoyed--and still do enjoy--his books quite a lot. Very sad to hear he's gone. My condolences to family and friends.

John wrote the greatest science fiction book I've ever read. It made a major impact on my life. I was lucky to have a few conversations with him years ago. He will also be greatly missed by his Fans.

I am only a fan. To me Armor is one of the best books ever written. It made an impact on my life the best way an author can. I will read the book this year for the fourth time with a heavier heart, but with knowledge that he was obviously loved and cared for by family and friends. My condolences to his loved ones,

I know this is late and of little condolences, but am so sorry for the family's loss. A friend gave me a copy of Armor in high school and it's been an annual read ever since.

My family knew John for many years through numerous fan conventions although we had lost contact. I am terribly sorry to hear this news.

Most sincere condolences to John's family from mine.
