Not sure what to say?

I am a former neighbor of the Steffen's family. Julie babysat for my boys and, as a young mother, I enjoyed visiting with Jodie and watching her family grow up. I am so sorry for your loss.

I was shocked and saddened today to learn of JP's passing. I am blessed to have known and worked with him for several years at the Iowa Democratic Party. I will always remember his quick wit and kind heart. My deepest condolences to you, Edie and Maggie and the rest of JP's family.

I am so very sorry for your loss. Edie, I'm blessed to have met JP through my years working at Marsh (KVI) with you. My prayers are with you and Maggie. Take care.

I was so sorry to hear of J.P.'s death. My sincere sympathy to Edie, Maggie and his entire family. Cherish your memories.

His sense of humor and quick wit come to mind as I remember him.

My deepest sympathy to the family.

We were crushed to hear of JP's death. Our hearts go out to you, Edie, to Maggie & all the family. May you be comforted by memories of him long after the pain recedes.
Many fond memories come to mind, and his sense of humor is a feature in all of them. What a fine man & what a loss.

JP was the organizer. A party to welcome home Skylab? It was his idea. A campaign to continue Homecoming Kings/Queens when it wasn't politically correct to do it? It was his idea. Political ideas that needed a sponsor? He did it.

He didn't live life. He led it. RIP JP.
