John was a good friend to my husband and me, and was part of the "Annual Pilgrimage" going to Frankenmuth for a weekend of dancing. I frequently remember the "Father of the Bride" shower our group had for him when a daughter married. He said it should be a "green" shower to help with expenses, so we presented him with anything GREEN we could think of; our gift was a box of little green apples. What a fun party that was! John was a good and faithful servant, and all of us left behind pray...
