John J. Stelmach, 76, entered into eternal rest on Friday, June 2, 2023 at home. Born in Springfield, son of the late Edsel and Theresa (Sullivan) Stelmach, he was a lifelong resident of Agawam and a 1963 graduate of Agawam High School. He was a retired purchasing agent and worked for Hampden Engineering and previously he worked for Smith & Wesson. He was also the past president of the Springfield Turnverein Club. He leaves four cousins, Frederick Soden of Agawam, Barry Soden of Florida, John Stein of Connecticut, Judy Kazanas of Tennessee and their children.
