Not sure what to say?

John was a great teacher from the comments of his students. John, and I graduated from East Liverpool High School in 1965. We both joined the Marine Corps, and went to Vietnam. I saw John at our 50th. school reunion had a nice talk with him. He was a great person, husband, teacher, father, and grandfather. SF brother, and until we meet again.

My deepest sympathies to the family of John Stephens. I served with John in the Marine Corps and met when we attended AEA school in Jacksonville Florida. We were a small close knit group. The group has stayed in touch throughout the years. God speed John.

I am so sorry to hear of John's passing. I only met him a couple times, but what an impact he made on me. He was so positive even tho' he was terminal and he made me cry because he said" its Ok". What a wonderful man that will truly be missed.

Mr. Stephens....You taught me everything I know about cars. You were the best auto mechanics teacher EVER!!!!! I still remember my first day of your class and how you didn't judge me because I was the only girl, you treated me just like the guys and I will always thank you for that.

It is now your turn to take post at the Pearly Gates and keep watch. From one Marine to another....Semper FI! C/O 89

Eileen, I am so very sorry for your loss. John sounds like a wonderful person and I am glad you had so many wonderful years with him. I am sure you have many beautiful memories to help you through this difficult time. Angela Collins
