Not sure what to say?

I met Dr. Sterne back in 1977 when an industrial accident at ALCOA. My right hand was crushed. I remembered the ALCOA ambulance taking me to St. Mary's Hospital and waiting in the emergency room and he finally shows up with some x-rays. I was in pain. He said ,"Your arm is really damaged but it can be fixed properly". I remember me telling him to do whatever as long as I am knocked out. I met him other times at the airport after I started my own business, Haubstadt Electric Corporation in the...

Dr. Sterne diagnosed my polio in 1955. He and Dr. Leibunguth treated me for the next two decades, including a difficult surgery in 1971. My Mother or Grandmother would take me to Evansville on the bus from Owensboro. They were so kind and intelligent and please accept my condolences.

I will always remember Dr. Sterne as a kind and very efficient Dr. He restructured my arm after an industrial accident back in 1977. When at the gym and doing arm exercise I think about Dr. Sterne. May he rest in peace Ismael (Tony) Nazario

Condolences to the family on the passing of Dr Sterne. I worked for Drs Sterne, Leibunguth and Radcliffe for many years as a Physician Assistant. They treated me with the greatest respect and I will always remember Dr Sterne as being a great surgeon but even a better person. He often traveled to smaller towns to perform orthopedic procedures on patients when the resources weren't available locally. I am saddened to hear of his passing.

Hello, My condolences in the passing of Dr. Sterne. He was a wonderful, compassionate man. I grew up next door on Gum Street. I played with his oldest, Mimi. We had some great times playing on their porch & in the basement with our Barbie dolls. I remember they had a telephone booth in their basement which I thought was so neat! Dr. Sterne also took very good care of me as an orthopedic Surgeon. You see, in 1956 I had surgery at Riley's in Indianapolis. When I came home, he...

We had the privilege of knowing Doc at Hamilton Pointe. My Mother was there too. He was the kindest Man. He always had nice things to say. He always asked how I was. Such a caring Man.
