John H Stewart

John H. Stewart, 78 of Fanwood New Jersey passed away at home on Friday, June 22, 2018 with his family by his side. Born in Newark NJ in 1940, John “Pops” was the son of Henry and Louise. After graduating high school, John found his calling at Sharon Steel then moved over to Blue Blade Steel where he worked until his retirement in 2009. John rarely missed a day of work and was so valued by the company he was a consultant after retirement. He married Carolyn Alexandrovich Sept 5th 1964 and the couple enjoyed 40 years of marriage until her passing in 2004. John was more known as Pops to his family and friends. He will be remembered as a “jack of all trades” taking pride in his home and love of cars. He enjoyed NASCAR, planting flowers, but most of all spending time outside with his family and grandkids.

He is survived by his loving children John, Kelly Fitzpatrick and her husband Sean, Craig, Keith and Jennifer Giordano and her husband Darren; his sister Dorothy Hackett; and 6 grandchildren.
