Not sure what to say?

I just heard of your passing. We had fun working together at Continental Cordage, and you were a great friend to my mother. She really enjoyed your talks. I feel lucky to call you a friend. R.I.P.

I will miss your laugh! I have many memories of your visits to Troy to see my parents (Marty and Ellie Singer) with the pups when I was young. I always enjoyed listening to you and Mom reminiscing about your times at Silver Lake. Thank you for always remembering my Birthday each year with a funny card. May peace be with you and I hope you are having new laughs with my parents! Love Marianne Singer

Deepest sympathies to the family. I can still remember trips with John, Aunt Bea and Jimmy to visit Aunt Bobbie and friends of John. Truly a beautiful, loving guy. Love and prayers,

I will miss talking with you John. We had some good talks about old memories about our family . I loved listening to them and will miss that. Rest In Peace Love your cousin,Christine

My father, Robert Richard Brown, and John were first cousins. My Aunt Ginny, Aunt Bea, and Aunt Bobbie kept in touch with John throughout the years. One thing that I remember is that John always had a smile, and there was always laughter around him. He is in our prayers.

Peace be with you Uncle John. Frank J Stoecker III

John was my Godfather since age 5. He stayed in close contact over the years with my Mother, Helen Brown. I reconnected with him several years ago and he enjoyed my annual Christmas letter. He was a kind & gracious man as I remember and always offered a kind note to me in his Christmas card yearly, acknowledging that he was one of the oldest " "BaptisamalGodfather's" of the Brown family, since their were originally 16 of them. He was blessed with a great family in Cazenovia and a long life....

As a youngster, visiting Grandma and while uncle John still had a room in the Burr St. Stoecker homestead (don´t recall if he slept there or if it was his old bedroom), I found a transistor radio. It was the coolest little radio...and he gave it to me! I used that radio for years back in northern New York to listen to AM radio broadcasts out of Boston, listening to Bruin and Celtic games among many other things. What a gift!

I remember him well as a Burr Street neighbor. Also when he called me for my mother´s wine drop cookie recipe. Super nice guy.
