Not sure what to say?

My wife and I were patients of Dr Stoeckle starting in the 1980´s. I was thinking about him this morning and googled his name to refresh some of my memories. I read the other tributes and I agree wholeheartedly that it was his humanity and true empathy for his patients that made him the finest doctor, and person, I´ve ever encountered. Like another here said, 10 minutes with him seemed like 30. He really engaged with us, a quality rarely found in today´s doctors. God bless you Dr Stoeckle....

Aside from being my Dr for 32 yrs he was my friend. There was nothing I couldn't talk to him about,he was above and beyond the most kind, and sincere man.God Bless him he has to be in heaven.Love Lana Clemente xo

Part of his genius as a physician was that Dr. Stoeckle could give a patient 10 minutes and they would swear it was 30 minutes. His attention and caring were intense. What a privilege to have known him as a mentor and as our family physician. A true giant and role model for so many.

Dr. Stoeckle was the best doctor that I have ever met in my life. He was my & my wife's Doctor for over for 20 years as we moved to CA in 1999. We stayed in touch with him as we considered him part of our family. My wife & I have had many doctors, but none of them came close to Dr. Stoeckle. When I was sick & needed medical care & could not make an appointment for 2 to 3 weeks, I would wait until 5 p.m. and then call his after hours number. Within 15 minutes I would get a call back & if I...

On Sunday, May 3, 2020, the Boston Globe carried an obituary of John D. Stoeckle, who died at age 97. I was introduced to him in the mid-nineteen fifties by his colleague and close friend, John Wellington Irwin, who was an internist at the Massachusetts General Hospital. Until he retired, John Stoeckle was my personal doctor (long before the designation of Primary Care Physician became a formal title.) During the five or six decades that we knew each other, the two Johns and I had many...

I remember Dr. Stoeckle when I started working with him in IMA 6. I was a young mom and had so much I wanted to do. He encouraged me to follow my dreams and I did. I admired his drive and care for his patients. They and I was very lucky to have known him.

John Stoeckle was one of the most intelligent and decent persons I have ever known. I stayed with his mother for many months in the late 1960s in Sturgis. John came to visit several times and how good he was to his mother, Alvina. I have often thought of him and his kindness. Sending sympathy to the family, Marianne Frederick Halterman
