Not sure what to say?

John, "First Thursdays" at Old Town (when they resume) will not be the same without you. Nor will any other day of the month, for that matter. While you guzzled coffee, and we consumed other beverages, many stories and laughs were shared. Our heartfelt condolences to John's family and friends at this sudden loss.

I remember John as a Kind, caring, friendly soul.
May he rest in peace

John first impressed me with his joyful & clever competitiveness during pick-up volleyball games at Wurster Park. Later his dry and sardonic wit reached out to me, as well as his compassion. Thank you, "Mr Stone", and hope to see you in the best VB game in the hereafter.
My best to his family, and to his innumerable friends.

John and I sat next to each other 50+ years ago in Miss Everill's social studies class at Tappan Junior High School. I clearly remember the fun and laughs we had back then! I ran into John years later in Ann Arbor and he hadn't changed a bit. He was a great guy. I am so sorry for your loss.

John, you are sorely missed by your neighbors. The squirrels are devastated and we will try to keep them fed. Each day we look expecting to see you, and your warm smile. With permission we will renew your fairy garden this summer in remembrance of you. You were and will continue to be loved.

Loved his layback wry sense of humor.
