Not sure what to say?

I recently recalled my days at UC and wanted to contact John. I was very sorry to learn of his passing. In 1989, I interviewed with John to be accepted into the Industrial Design Program. John helped develop an excellent curriculum and hired a talented staff of professors. Under John Stork, the program was ranked No. 2 in the country. His dedication to the department was apparent in everything he did. John was directly responsible for my success as a designer. Thank you, John Stork, you will...

I am very sorry to here your loss my bless with you...

I knew Mr. Stork as a student at Onondaga Community College's Graphic Arts & Advertising Technology back in the early 70's. He took an interest in every student with his encouragement.... I still remember bits and pieces of information he gave us, his wit and intelligence. My thoughts and prayers for his friends and family during this difficult time.

John encouraged me to transfer from Engineering to Industrial Design at UC and was my first Studio Professor. I will always be thankful for his confidence and guidance. He was a gentleman and a great educator. I send my respects and thoughts to his family. He will be sadly missed-but fondly remembered.

John was a professor of mine and a person I admired greatly. I think of him literally every time I ride an escalator or check my electric meter. He was the first to teach me the basics of ID, from "form follows function" to understanding user needs. The design community has lost a pioneer and I am honored to have known him. Deep sympathies to the family that lost a husband, father and grandfather.

John was a co-hort of mine at DAAP. Always a straight shooter and practical educator. Just sorry i didn't hear about this in time to attend service.

Dear Lise and Stefano, my deepest condolences in this sad moment .

Dear family of Professor Stork,
There are generations of designers that are designers due to the guidance, knowledge and educational skill that John showed us all. Personally his impact on my life was profound and it was an honor and a privilege to be his student. May your memories comfort you.
