Not sure what to say?

The Jehovah's Witnesses religion gave my father purpose in life since joining in 1969. As an individual with certain incapabilities, it gave him a sense of direction and focus for 38 years. For this I wish to thank the various JW congregations where he was a member. I want to thank Joe Woods for his talk during Sunday's memorial service to my father.

As a fundamentalist Christian our perspectives may be very different though never to the point of any resentment from me. To the...

We were DEEPLY moved with tears when we got the printout of Pappy's death notice from Tara in the mail today...we didn't know him long, but the time we did get to spend with him we will ALWAYS treasure...his sense of humor and funny way with words pops into mind right now - we GREATLY look forward to the paradise when we can be with Pappy again...John, Shari, Tara and family - let's plan to all get together in the new order with Pappy and my mom, Debbie...

Boots, Delores, John and Lee,

Your Dad and my Uncle Johnny is the last of a his generation Strayers. I have an image in my mind that the Strayer family members I knew and loved are rejoycing at the news of his arival. Certainly he will be missed by all of us. His passing brings to mind many memories of the times we sharred together especially during our younger days. For the most part these were positive experiences and I am pleased that your Father was a part of my life.

Rest well dad, rest well.

Boots

So sorry to hear the bad news about John. Very nice write up about him and family. We used to go to the Hall at Red Lion and know John and Sheri. would love to say hello. Keep good memories and know that you will see him again, Jehovah doesn't forget those that love Him. Glen and Barbara Abel

How wonderful it will be to see Dad again when there is "no more tears, pain, mourning or outcry and even death will be no more!!! Dad is now in Jehovah's memory and I am confident he will receive life again, right here on a paradise earth. He was faithful right up to his death. He definitely endured to the end!!!

You did a very nice job writing about Pappy. He really was a wonderful grandpa.
