Not sure what to say?

A warm, loving man with a marvelous sense of humor and appreciation for the finest things in life, the love of friends, the miracle of natural beauty, another's smile. You will ever be my strong example of what a person can and should be. Perceptive, sharp of mind and quick of wit (whiplash quick!), we love you. Rest well.

Our deepest sympathy to the Mayer family. Although I never met Lynne's dad, I know of him through her and her family. I confess that I cannot take my eyes off of John's beautiful art that graces the Mayer home. Yet, his greatest masterpiece is the children that he and Mrs. Stribrny brought to this earth. I could never find a more wonderful, loving friend than Lynne. John's art and his legacy live on in the fabulous "gifts" he left the world. Our thoughts are with the Mayer and...

To The Stribrny Family:

We send our prayers, love and sympathy to all. As we journey through life we cross paths with many people. We were privileged to meet John along the way. He was devoted to his family, and was of service to his community and above all his country. He generously shared his knowledge and artistic talents with those he came in contact with. As he gave of himself, he made this world a better place for those whose lives he touched. Always treasure the...

John came to the rescue of the Czechoslovak Heritage Museum with his creative talent, a number of years ago. He willingly created a beautiful logo which we needed for the IDOT to post an informational sign to attract visitors from the expressway. The logo which incorporates Prague's famous Powder Gate Tower and the letters "CSA" graced the Eisenhower Expressway at Harlem, for many years, when the museum was in Berwyn. His design became our trademark at our new Headquarters in Oak Brook. It...

GOODBYE JOHN

These where my last words to my friend and neighbor. What do you say to a man whose every breath maybe his last?
I want't to say more but the words couldn't come.
John helped me
He told me how happy he was with his life.
He was happy with his wife
He was happy with his children
He was happy with his grandchildren
He was happy to share his passion for art and nature with his students
He was happy to serve his country
He was...

I'll remember Mr. Stribrny as someone who always welcomed a teenage boy into his family and his home.

With fond memories and deep sympathy --

John has been my art instructor for many years. Each ribbon I won for a painting, I thanked John for it. He guided me thru my work and he was always right in what he told me to do. I will miss his guidance greatly.
Please accept my deepest sympathy and warm thoughts to Val and Family.

and also her husband John Lubben

I'm 45 years old now and have known Johnny since I was a child. I will always remember him as immensely talented, charming and charismatic; with an enthusiasm and sense of humor that was easily contagious. He seemed to live life fully and embrace the most important things in it, like devotion to family & friends and love for his country. One of the beautiful gifts he shared was his ability to see and express God in nature through his art. I will always think of Johnny Stribrny with a...
