Not sure what to say?

Theresa,
We first met your family when we moved into the house to the south of yours on Wesley Avenue in 1985. I believe that John was just a freshman in high school at that time. Our family came to know and like all of you. We were so saddened to learn of John's illness and death. Please know that you are in our thoughts and prayers.

To John's family,
We were graced with John's presence when he dated my neice Jennifer Burke. Our entire family enjoyed his loving kindness. He was a delight to have at our family gatherings. Please, accept our sympathy for your great loss. I feel truly blessed to have known him, even briefly.
You are in our thoughts and prayers,
Aunt Bridget

To John's family and friends,
He seemed such a gentle loving man. I met John on a retreat with Old St. Patrick's Church, and his hugs and smiles were simply wonderful. I am sorry for your loss, and I hope you feel his spirit in the gentle moments.

Thank you for sending me the notice of John's passing, though I was so hoping to hear from him at some point, and to have him talk about getting back into the job search.

I've thought of him from time to time, wondering how he was doing. The announcement is so correct: John was a fighter, yet a gentle one - thoughtful and of good hope.

My thoughts are with you all.

Dear Theresa and family,
We are so sorry to hear about your brother and our prayers go out to you. He was a man of great character and I will always remember the special time we had when John spent Christmas dinner in the Georgopoulos home. He felt like someone you knew forever when you met him.
Nick (Kathy's brother)

May God bless you and your family in this time of sorrow.

Dear Theresa, Forrest, Sharon and Family,
We hope you know how much we cared for John. We remember watching him cross the finish line at U of C after all that hard work. He looked great after running all those miles!
He was strong, and strong-willed. He touched my entire family with his ability to listen, his genuine interest, and his warm and caring smile. I always felt better after a visit with him.
He is now able to rest, and although we miss him, we must be happy for him as he...

Dear Theresa,
I am so sorry to hear of John's passing. I remember eating Easter supper with him at Kathy and Jim's house a few years ago. He was so enjoyable and interesting. I am fortunate to have had the opportunity to know him. I am keeping you and his loved ones in my prayers and know that you will find comfort in your many fond memories of John.

Theresa and Forrest, I was sorry to hear about John's passing. He has touched many lives by his example of how to go forward in life regardless of very difficult circumstances. He was very brave. You can be proud of him.
Sincerely, Jim and Carol (Walsh) Rosentreter
