Not sure what to say?

I just learned of Steve's death today. I was heartbroken. We were very close for a period of time in 1982. Even tho we had not seen each other on,many years, I always had comfort knowing he was around someplace. He was an awesome guy.

I never met Steve but I remember his great play on the basketball court at Fife High School. I was in 4th grade when he was a senior. I knew his brother Vince (IMO the best basketball player ever to come out of our town) as he played on our driveway court a few times. Steve's team, however, was better. Family Photo about 1955

I was sorry to hear about the passing of Steve. I respected his generosity and sense of humor while growing up. Whether he was watching basketball, cooking up a burger, or just cranking some Kool and the Gang, he always seemed up for a good time. Thanks you for the care and memories, Steve.

I feel lucky to have come across Steve when I was a teenager growing up. My brother and I shared a love of sports with him and loved watching games with him and spending time with his extended family in the Tacoma/Seattle area. No matter what was going on around him, he always seemed to be having a good time and telling jokes. Rest in peace Steve-- you will be missed!

He loved to play his organ but only knew a song or two, loved to cook a few turkey legs, watch sporting events on TV, ride in his red Corvette, dance and he thought he was the best dancer, listen and sing along with Elvis and visit his brother and sister in law in Fife. We would have the best time with them, their family and friends. There was always a gathering at the farm when we were there. Steve had a big heart and always was ready for a laugh or...

Steve was a "tough and competitive man" I will always remember his GREAT basketball talent having received many elbows...GREAT guy.. God Bless .
