John Frederick Strope

I miss you John and Pat and have so many memories from our 90th SRW reunions. You were good people and I know your spirits live on.

My father and mother were Richard and Jeannette Foco. I wanted to share that is was John and Pat who set my parents up on a date and the rest is history. I am so sorry for your loss. He was ever present in my father's life when Dad returned to Bay City, Michigan--after we lost mom. I got to meet them both then--and can tell you that I adored them both soooo much! I am so sorry that you have lost both your mother and father. It's a particular club of sorrow that awaits us all one day....

May your hearts soon be filled with wonderful memories of joyful times together as you celebrate a life well lived.

His devotion to family and country was always evident. We will miss him and his sense of humor. He was a very good neighbor and friend.

John will be remembered at Rockford United Methodist Church as Pat's #1 friend, companion, and supporter. He will be remembered by me as someone who loved his wife deeply and was proud of his family, his service, and his faith. Back on May 14, 2021, we talked by phone and he re-invited me to his place. I should've went then. Please know that the family remains in our prayers.
