John Robert Suisman

Sorry this is so late. John was a great friend of mine beginning with my senior year at Loomis. We spent a great deal of time together in the ensuing years, that time I think very enjoyable for both of us. John was a true gentleman with a generous heart. Jim kelley

John was one of the most refined men I have ever had the pleasure to serve at the Emanuel. A conversation with him an opportunity to connect with intellectual give and take. He was a regular at my weekly Talmud group downtown and the drive to and from those gatherings was always punctuated with humor and thoughtful take-a-ways. His memory will no doubt glow for all who admired and had emotions for him. May his spirit generate a lasting reason to allow his gentle and genteel live on. Rabbi...

Kathryn - We just learned about John's death this evening and we are SO sorry to hear. Having just gotten to know the 2 of you, I appreciated his kindness and generosity of heart and spirit. May he rest in peace and may you know the solace that only God can give. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family during this very difficult time.
