Man I really miss you Summers.

Being so far away, I read both the Baton Rouge and NOLA newspapers to see what's going on in both of my hometowns. I read the NOLA obits recently and while I didn't know Mr Summers, It was still moving to read about how speacial he was to each of you and the youth in NOLA that he touched. I have been thinking about you John, on Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's Day.
These are my first holidays without you, since death took you away.
I would love to hear your voice again, and to see you laugh and smile.
I would love to give you a great big hug, and have you visit with me for awhile.
Unfortunately I know that isn't possible, at least it's not for now.

My condolences to John's family, loved ones, friends, and colleagues. I am saddened by John's passing and at the.same time, happy for all the people who had the opportunity to experience his love, dedication, and greatness. Rest in Jesus' arms John.

Hey man, I miss hearing your voice and phone calls brother. Usually we were both busy during the week and Saturdays were when we caught up.
