John J. Sysyn, of Manchester, passed away peacefully January 23, 2021. John was born in Manchester on November 9, 1952, the son of Peter and Edna (Rybka) Sysyn. After graduating Manchester Memorial High School, John worked for Davison Construction Company and spent the last 19 years of his career working for the City of Manchester. Most of all, he enjoyed working in his garden and spending time with family and friends. John touched many lives with his generosity and humor and leaves behind countless cherished memories. Those who knew John well, will remember him for his strong work ethic and his loyal friendship. He was a caring and devoted son, brother, and uncle. Services celebrating his life will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in John's name to the Make-A-Wish Foundation of New Hampshire at www.wish.org/nh

John, it's been a year since you've left this earth. My best friend growing up with all our other friends on Purchase Street. Through the years and growing up we always kept in contact. It's just so hard to believe you're gone but you are at peace now. Miss you my best friend.

Everyone at city hall relied on John's ability to get the job done, and he never failed to deliver. A truly nice person, he was a pleasure to work with. Very sorry to read about his death.
