He was a distant cousin of my father (Boleslaw Chmielewski, aka Ben) and I met John at my mother's (Theresa) funeral in February, 2000. We communicated some via email over the years. I will miss him. There are not enough words in the American language to describe the many qualities and generous spirit John possessed. I got to know him in the Polish Genealogy Society of Greater Cleveland.
