John R. Talley, born in Delaware, Ohio on May 29th, 1938 passed away in his home on September 30, 2021 in Yorba Linda, California.
John was the 4th child of Dewey Lee and Virginia Talley. He graduated from Delaware Willis High School in 1956 earning a football scholarship to Northwestern University. John was a member of the Sigma Alpha Epsilon fraternity and was the Wildcats quarterback through the 1959 season. John met and married Elizabeth Jung in 1959.
John had a distinguished career in the communications industry dating back to 1970, leading him into his final professional career as a business owner of a distribution company in 1983 which today is run by his 4 sons.
John is preceded in death by his parents, Dewey and Virginia, and 3 sisters, Virginia, Carolyn and Nancy. He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Elizabeth, and four sons, John D., Jeffrey, Mark, Richard along with 5 grandchildren and 2 great granddaughters.
Family and friends are welcomed to the services on October 23, 2021, at 10:30 a.m. at the Yorba Linda United Methodist Church at 19002 Yorba Linda Blvd., Yorba Linda, CA 92886.

"John Bob" worked with my dad and grandfather ( Paul and Russell Kissner) at Delaware Building Supply Co. on west Central,(by the underpass) right after he Graduated Northwestern ! John Bob was a local Celebrity and Delaware people stopped by just to meet him ! Seemed to be a really well liked guy was always extremely nice to my brothers and me! May you rest in Peace John Bob, Amen !

John was a great guy. Always very friendly and welcoming to me. I spoke with Larry Feige at IWCE a couple of weeks ago and asked about John. Larry said that he was doing fine and enjoying retirement. My thoughts are with the family.
