Dr. Tanis was my favorite professor at Western Michigan University. During my freshman year at WMU he encouraged me to find my place in the STEM field. The following summer Dr. Tanis welcomed me as a student researcher to his particle accelerator research. From there it sparked my interest in Ion Propulsion and different types of physics.
