Read MoreMy mom, Shirley Vandenberg, used to scrub in with Dr Tarnasky and Dr Roberts at PPMC and loved working with them. I remember him at OR parties my parents would have at our home as a fun-loving, gregarious man. May memories of him bring the family peace and longlasting smiles.

I still treasure the times spent on the tennis court. During doubles play I much preferred having John on the same side of the net. Bon voyage old friend.
