To my dear neighbor Joyce,

I wish to extend my deepest sympathy to you and all of your loved ones. John and you have been a source of inspiration and strength to me in the short years that we have been neighbors. Joyce for your unending love and care you gave to John and for the times he would always smile when I came over to visit. He had a great deal of courage to have born his illness for so long. There is no doubt that he will be missed by all who knew him for many years to...

And so the time has arrived to say a final farewell to Uncle John. These last months have not been fun for you, and I pray you now can once again enjoy peace and comfort. To Aunt Joyce and to my cousins, you are and will remain in my thoughts.

My memory of John Tesch (who eventually became my father-in-law) goes back to June 1974. I found him to be a man that had blue eyes that sparkled and with a grin on his face whenever he was up to a trick or two playing cards. One who loved to laugh and have his family around. He was one, who in my heart saw happiness in his family. I felt so comfortable around him and he accepted me from the start. He really made me feel as if I were truly one on his daughters.
