Not sure what to say?

John and I became friends when we both taught at Forest Hills Jr. High school. We had many good discussions about music and life. When I was conducting the Calder City concert band, we were lucky to get John to join us. He was a fine baritone player.

My heart goes out to you Cam and your family. He was a great man, a very good teacher, a good musician, humerous, intelligent, and a dear friend. God rest him!

As a colleague of John's in the Science Division at Aquinas and in many other capacities at Aquinas, I can attest to the integrity, wit, good scholarship, friendliness, generosity and all-around man of Christian and human values that he practiced and modeled for many. Cam, so sorry for your loss but so glad John found you and you added so, so much to his life. Peace.

Mr. Teusink was one of my favorite profs at AQ. Kind, funny, patient, friendly- hilarious dry sense of humor! Always smiled when a student would address him as Dr. Teusink- he'd reply something like "nope, Mr. If you call me Dr they'll have to pay me more."
He certainly passed on his love of learning to his students. After reading his obit, I see that teaching was just one of his passions! I will continue to remember him fondly.
My sympathy to those who loved him and who will...

I had Proffessor Teusink at Aquinas in the 70's. He was a awesome instructor and a caring person. I was a Biology minor who became a teacher and saw him as a role model. I'm sorry for your loss.

Camilla, We are so sorry to learn of John's passing, and that we are thinking of you at this sad time. Cherie (Jones) Moore, Mich & FL and Valerie(Jones) Stallard, AL.

John was a good friend that Ive known since grade school when we played Hansel and Gretel in a grade school play. We were in HS band together and later worked together in several Community Players shows including Red Flannel Revival and The Miracle Worker. John loved Cedar Springs as witnessed by his years of community service. His wry wit and smile will be missed. Thinking of you, Cam, and sending sympathy, hugs, and prayers to you at this difficult time.

Known John since 1970 at Aquinas College. Thoughts and prayers for peace and comfort to Camilla and family.
In Christ's peace, Val Keller
