Not sure what to say?

I remember in the 90's when he played for the Bears because I used to go to the Bears' games at Soldier Field on the lakefront. It was so much fun bundling up to go to the football games even though I am not a Bear fan. I am profoundly saddened by Mr. Thierry's passing. I wish the family the peace and comfort of the Holy Spirit.

Circa 1994, John bought a townhouse next to my Mom's. At the time, I was away at school and recall he shoveled the sidewalk for her. Over time we became friends, truly a great person and very sorry to hear about his passing. John was a motivated, intelligent, spiritual, uplifting and thoughtful man. An amazingly great role model for today's youth, and what other role models should strive to be. John was known for being a great athlete, but he was even a better guy and will be missed.

John was such a great man. He devoted much time to his family. John supported my daughter Kayla in her basketball season all 4 years and Mentor High and also all 4 years at Lake Erie College. Our thoughts and prayers are with the entire Thierry family. John will be missed.

John will dearly be missed. He was a great family man with a huge heart. I feel so bad for the family. My prayers are with them.

John, I hope you can hit the golf ball straighter in heaven.

You were a wonderful friend.

To me, John was a friend, a brother and most importantly a child of God. His spirit could light up any room. I pray that God embrace the family with His Love, assure them of His Presence and give them an understanding of His Will.

Rest in God's Mansion my Brother,

Colonel Chris Gillard
Director of Mississippi Highway Patrol

Praying for strength for the family of John . My husband (Coach Mario Kirksey) was his former college coach at Alcorn State I always will remember John as a respectful , intelligent young man and he would greet me with a smile and hug. I last saw him ironically at Steve McNair s funeral. Look to God for strength and he will give it to you.

May God bless you and your family in this time of sorrow.

In loving memory of a wonderful person. We will love you and miss you always.
