My sympathies to the Thome family. He was my English teacher at Chilton and left a lasting impression with his passion and humor. He of course married my favorite English teacher!! I enjoyed the few times I ran into John while I taught at Brillion. Also Hi to Darlene.

To the family of John Thome. He greatly impacted my life and was a part of the decision why i became a physical educator. His willingness to make peope happy and teach was awesome. It was hard not to have a great time around him. He will be missed by many. We have told a lot of stories started with his name. He was a great coach and even better person. Sorry for your loss.

Coach Thome took no quarter and gave no quarter but he did share his zest for life with all his student athletes. What I admired was seeing him in church every Sunday and the way he was a father to his kids.
