Dear friends and family, Mr. Thompson was my history teacher in seventh or eighth grade. I remember him being the first teacher who asked "more of me" as a student and challenged me to excell. I fondly remember Mr. Thompson as my 8th period history teacher at Knoch. Although I never knew him after that time, he became part of my 'where were you' story when Bill Mazeroski hit the 1960 World Series homerun. We were listening to the game over intercom that 8th period, the homerun was hit and everybody in class cheered loudly. Mr. Thomspon, not listening that closely, said Who Hit it??
