I was down in FL when I heard of John's passing. I cried for him and his family, and for myself, as I knew I'd never have the pleasure to talk to him or see him again. John and I worked together at Mercer. He was always laughing and joking with us but very serious when it came to client business. We went to see Buddy Guy play at the Legends Club once and went to many Cubs, Bulls and Blackhawks games together. I always looked forward to John bringing me deer sticks after one of his hunting trips. He had a big heart and a big laugh and brought energy to those around him.
