John Earl Thompson, retired principal of Ardmore Middle School passed away July 1. Mr. Thompson was a lifelong educator as well as an Army Veteran. He taught science at Millwood High School in Oklahoma City and Graham High School before becoming an assistant principal at Ardmore Middle School....

Mr. Thompson was a great principal @AMC I would stop there to pick up students and I would always see him playing imaginary golf

Mr. Thompson was Ardmore Middle School. He was my principal there after they closed Northwest. He made us feel welcome during the transition and afterwards. When he retired, AMS was never the same. He was a true leader in his field. Rest in peace from Sheila Parker.
