John TILEY

I was very sad to hear the news of John Tiley's passing. He was my long-suffering supervisor for equity, and gamely coped with my ineptitude. My condolences to his wife, Jillinda Tiley, who was my Director of Studies at Lucy Cavendish, and who taught me to question the extraneous. A truly wonderful couple who could throw a terrific pool party.

Deepest condolences to John's family at this very difficult time. John was the very best in his field and was a source of immense inspiration and support for all of us interested in taxation. His passion for the subject and his wonderful kind manner will be greatly missed by all.
