Not sure what to say?

A great friend.....a wonderful fellow.....we had some great times...some great laughs...."funny how the trees change". remember that one John?

My deepest condolences to his family and closest friends. Mr. Tobin was my first boss through the NYC high school co-op program. I have fond memories of Mr. Tobin and always enjoyed his warm smile in the mornings. He saw potential in me and helped me to apply for colleges and started me on my way to a better future. I'll always be grateful to him for that. RIP Mr. Tobin.

To the Tobin family,

My deepest condolences on the passing of your dad. You guys are in my prayers. Mike Goepel

Coach Tobin was a great coach and person. He worked us hard but the results were unbelievable. He was always there when you needed him and taught us that hard work does pay off. He will be missed by the SI track community. I will always remember him.

I was a student and runner at Port Richmond HS from 1961-64. I had him as a PE/Health Teacher and competed against his great St. Peters Teams. Coach Tobin was a role model for me- Ienjoyed his enthusiasm and dedication to his "kids" . I remember him running around Van Cortland Park encouraging his runners. People like him were a major reason why I went in to teaching and coaching. Bill Indek

As a member of the St. Peter's Boys H.S. Class of 1967, I am very proud to have had Mr. Tobin as a Track Coach and Mentor during my
JV and Varsity years. He contributed significantly to my development and growth both as an athlete and a man.
My sincere condolences to his family and all those men who knew him as COACH!

we are so sorry for your loss.

Dearest Alice and family,
My deepest sympathy , prayers, and love to each of you at this very sad time. It was an honor and privilege knowing John through the many years of our friendship. He was a wonderful man in so many ways and will be remembered by all who knew him- professionally and personally. Although I am unable to be with you at this time to pay my final respects to John , please know that my prayers , love and friendship are right there with you all.
Most sincerely, Ann

The Manhattan College alumni community shares the grief, and is now praying for our fellow alumni and the family at this time. The Alumni Office has been informed. As well as the Jasper Jottings community that I personally can reach. We are all a little poorer now. "No man is an island, entire of itself ... any mans death diminishes me". We are sorry for your loss.
