Not sure what to say?

I met John in high school when I moved from NC to Houston. I was so pleased when he asked me out for a first date and more, so cool, I thought, "John Toomey." I moved after 10th grade back East. It looks like John remained kind and fun to his family, friends and work in a loving and positive way. Fond memories from way back, and lovely present memories for those who have been in his life for many years.

It was hard for me to hear of John's passing. He hired me when I was 22 years old. I was there for 9 years before moving onto USAA. He truly believed in me and my work ethics. If it wasn't for him hiring me I would not be where I am today. He was humble, funny and truly cared about others. I will miss him.

We will always remember John and hos laugh and smile! A puzzle on the table, animated characters and we still play his DVD gifts. We all have happy memories of our visits over to your house Becky; the best neighbors ever; even the dogs agree.

John was wonderful. I am sorry I could not make the journey to visit all my cousins I have missed for decades now. Hug to all.

John was a very kind, humble, generous individual. He will be greatly missed. My deepest condolences to his family. May our Lord bring you peace and comfort during this hour of need. Blessings, Herman B. Flores

I´m very sad to see John passed away. I have many fond memories of he and his brothers . I worked for Alamo Toyota for nearly 30 years and always felt like a part of the family. John was a great person to be in charge of an auto dealership. He was fair to customers and employees as well. Bless you John, you will be missed by many. My prayers and condolences to the entire Toomey family.

I met Mr. Toomey when I worked at Houston Eye Associates. I met him in optical department. He was such a kind and considerate man. I helped him with a vision problem he was having, every year our team would get a big box of candy from him. He would always send me my own. God makes himself known to me in so many ways, today he gave me a sudden urge to look up Houston obituaries, which I never do. John Toomey was the first one that popped up. I´m grateful I saw it. There are some people you...
