Not sure what to say?

Thank you for your guidance these many years Msgr Torney. You were the heart and soul of OLPH. I visit you whenever I am at Holy Cross. There will never be another man like you. May you rest in peace...

Fr. Torney baptized me, gave me my first communion and confession, was at my confirmation and performed my marriage in 1969. In 1999 my only sister and mother were murdered in Colorado. Fr. Torney knew my entire family of 10 and sent me comforting words. I have since traveled back to NJ and prayed at his burial site. May God bless this wonderful priest in my life! Amen

thank you, father, for all you did for me and my family. hope to see you again in heaven. "tommy"

If ever there was a man that was made for heaven Msg Torney is that man...a long and beautiful life he had...I feel privileged to have known him

MSGR. TORNEY ,

GOD BLESS YOU FOR ALL THAT YOU DID IN LIFE....I REMEMBER THE VISITS TO SEE YOU AND YOUR BROTHER PRIESTS AND SING CHRISTMAS CAROLS. SISTER COLUMBINE AND MYSELF ALONG WITH THE CHILDREN OF MARY GIRLS OF SOUTH RIVER ENJOYED SEEING YOU...... MAY GOD GRANT YOU MUCH NEEDED REST ...... WE SHALL ALWAYS LOVE YOU AND MISS YOU.

You were truly one of the greatest men I ever had the honor and privilege to know! I have so many memories of you and you will live on in my family's hearts forever! Thank you for everything you ever did. God Bless you!

The messages are a true testament to a man who gave so much and asked only that we live our lives as good people. I think of all the memories I have of him, whether it was getting my report card every marking period, the trips to Bertrands Island, the many sermons always with a message, marrying my brother, the many masses I attended with him presiding. When I have spoken about him, it was always with great admiration and affection. He was an inspiration to me. I consider myself very lucky...

Since kindergarten I have had the honor of knowing you. You led a selfless life for which we are all in your debt. No doubt you now sit in a special seat at the Lord's table. Thank you from the bottom of my heart, Monsignor. I will miss you forever.

God speed Father....You helped so many through good times, and sad times. Thank you for all you have done for me and my family. I am sure that you have earned a very special seat at the table of God. You were and still are, an inspiration to many. Rest well dear Father in that place we call "Peace." You will never be replaced, because your kindness and caring and wisdom can be considered to be REALLY big shoes to fill. It will take a very special person to fill those shoes. You will be...
