Dear Madeline, Janie and I were saddened to hear of a good man's passing. Jack, a very giving person, meant a lot to us. We'll never forget the time he "assisted" us in building a full-shed dormer on our home next to your parents' home. He took two weekends and supervised myself and a good number of my compatriots on the Wethersfield PD. We had a ball, but I think Jack had the most fun directing the policemen from the rooftop.
