Not sure what to say?

John had the greatest sense of humor...I still have memories of his quick comebacks. He always had time to help or answer a question, and that was a godsend, especially when I first started at WHS. Think of him often.

John was an excellent guidance counselor who helped child study team members. May he rest in peace.

Hugs and prayers to all the family.

He was a great friend and colleague. I have many memories of what a special man he was. My sincere condolences to his family. He will be missed but never forgotten.

The best friend I ever had. We both were varsity basketball managers two years at SMHS, and kept in touch throughout college vacations. As to sports, he drove some of us one day to Springfield, MA where we had supper
at a St. A's guy's house, then to Worcester Auditorium to see the Hawks vs. Holy Cross. Also present were Cousy
and Heinsohn [ !] Arrived back in South Amboy at 2:45 a.m. the next day. Just one event of many, many.
Very sad to read of John's passing.

I am overwhelmingly sad to hear of John's passing, and it's impossible to overstate the impact he had on me early on. Perhaps the finest obituary I've ever read, these words perfectly encapsulated the man's spirit, which was massive, down to the Frog Hollow reference and deathmatch-couponing! So much by way of condolences goes out to the family, from Addy to Amy, Marybeth, and Cara. Godspeed.

I didn't know John well in HS, but it looks like he had many admirers and was loved by many. Here is a picture I took at one of our class reunions. John's in the middle.

I worked with John for 13 years. He was a true mentor, from playing Hearts in the faculty room to becoming the guidance counselor I am today. He was remarkable man and will be missed by all. May God bless you and your family.
