God rest your soul. Condolences to all your family. Thank you for your kindness to my aunt JoJo through the years. Mary Lane

John Train. A personal hero. Who could take you for a ride in a fast fast boat and tell you with a certain look of shared and generous confidence to go ahead and drive in circles as fast as you could. Mr Train was one of a kind. I will miss him. We had many lovely talks. I worked in his garden over 14 years. Please accept my sympathy for your loss.

John was an extraordinary man. I'm thinking of you.

To John's family, I'm thinking of you and the shock of his absence, a person of such strong and fascinating presence.

Dearest Francie, Musa, Nina and Lisa, I am so very sorry for your loss. He was among the greats. It was a true privilege and also a great pleasure to have known him. Much love to you all and also to your families at this sad time.

I always called his book "John Train's Book of Names." It was given to me as a gift many years ago and has given me countless hours of pleasure. Thank you for your wit and humor. Rest in peace.
