I was fortunate enough to have John as an EAATS instructor at Fort Indiantown Gap when I was there as a fledgling NYARNG pilot who had not been at the controls of a Huey since flying in Vietnam sixteen years earlier. John's personality and skill as an instructor allayed my trepidation as a student needing to achieve qualification with a `Don't worry. We've got you and you've got us. That means you'll learn what you need and successfully complete the course. You've got this'...

Diane knew John from EAATS and had only high praise for him as a soldier, pilot, but most of all, an outstanding human being. He was a hero in all he did. Till Valhalla.

Sending prayers to his family. I knew Mr Trevers from his previous marriage to Jill and her wonderful three daughters. He would sleep outside to save our yardsale spot in the park in front of their home. Good memories.

Rest in peace, John.. you served your family with love, he served your country with honor, and you served your teammates and your classmates with kindness, passion for the game and love of God.

Terri Travers and Mrs. Kathleen Travers : Our condolences at Barron JT passing from us Prayers for repose of his soul For all his love and support of us many years gone by Janice Urrutia and kids

To the family of John Travers, John graduated a year behind me, in my late sister's class of 1966. I so enjoyed watching him play basketball for McDevitt. He always had a wonderful smile. God bless him for serving his country. Rest in peace, John.

My prayers for all who are mourning John's loss, especially my sister who devoted herself to his care. I regret that I can not be with you on the day of his mass and burial. But I will be with you in spirit. Love Mary Ann.
