John Nelson Trimble Jr.

Big John Trimble will never be forgotten. I Drove Trucks long haul and many of those trips took me across the wrva radios listener coverage area . Got to first meet John at The mid America Truck show years ago . I got in radio and John and I used to both be on each other´s show Simultaneously . He was a good friend and mentor . One of John´s long time friends Billy cole in Des Moines radio was the guy that helped me get in radio . I´ll miss John along with literally millions of other folks ....

Oh my the memories this man gave my mom and I at night. He was the highlight of my bedtime. We took care of my grandmother as she was sick very much. When my mother would turn that old radio on, this 7 year old took flight to a better place. Thank you for your voice that helped my mom and I along. God keep you always.

For quite a while I trucked with Big John. I had the good luck of meeting him, as many other drivers of that era. Always a sad day when we lose a friend.

I worked with John at WXGI, and we met on WRVA he had me on to help me promote my new record store in Richmond, Va. Later on we did "trivia" spots on WRVA from time to time. Great Guy, will be missed.

I remember his show on WRVA many years ago. He lived a good life I think. My condolences to the family.y

Listened to John on wrva , he was one of the guys on radio that influenced me to be in Radio myself . John was on my show and I was on his once . I´ll miss him , I drove Tanker Trucks all over the USA , Listened to him on my seaboards runs tuned into wrva Radio . HD 870 918 4576
