Not sure what to say?

I did not know that Aunt Ragna had lived to be 101 years old. That makes me very happy this morning. Thank you.

Long overdue, this message comes from a friend from very long ago. In fact, never known by him, John was my first love when he must have been about 12 and I was 10, or maybe 11 and 9.

John and his wonderful brother Doug built me a big tree house in the California pepper tree in our backyard in Sierra Madre. I used it for years, mainly as a place to hide out and read. THANK YOU John and Doug for my tree house.

I remember staying with the Trowbridges for some reason at about that...

Dear Betty: I thought of you so many times in the last few years. I'm saddened to hear about John's passing, and know how much you miss him. Even though Jack and I met you only a few years ago at our church retreat, you meant so much to us. Jack and I marveled at John"s strength and courage these past several years. Please know that you two made a difference in our lives. May the Lord bless and keep you.

We are deeply saddened to hear of the passing of John, our dear next door neighbor and friend of many years here in Mission Beach. I always enjoyed our many casual conversations on the beach, his gently calming way, his superb surfing ability, his wonderful integrity, his helpfulness in the neighborhood and his dedication to his family and, especially, to Betty. I still miss gazing across the basketball court at Viejas Arena during the Aztec games and seeing John and Betty in their season...

John will be missed he was a wonderful man and friend.....Hank and Judy
