Not sure what to say?

Dear Crickett and John,
I called Paul Dulle today and found out that had missed Johns visitation and funeral. I am bothered by that notion, yet I will see you all sometime down the road and be able to see you and support your recent loss. When I was a new photographer in Chicago, I worked for a great friend of Johns, Ralph Larson. Ralph told me back in 1983 to follow, listen to, work for, help with...anything John might need, throughout his career. Ralph was retiring and was passing...

John was a much loved supporter and friend of the Chicago Philharmonic serving as the Chairman of our Honorary Trustees, but more than that he was a wonderful friend to me and my wife who would always look for us in the orchestra at Lyric Opera or on stage at Chicago Philharmonic Concerts. John would give a little wave from the audience and we would respond with a wave of our instruments. We will miss his cheerfulness and good counsel.

With deepest symphathy to all his loved...

My condolences to the family. I worked with John for years at Bell. He was an admired and respected voice of reason in all things. His contributions to family, company, city and state are legend.

To the John Trotter family our condolences on the loss of your father. May the Good Lord always hold him in the Palm of His Hands.

Knew Mr. Trotter at Illinois Bell, and all the fine work he did there over the many years of service. He was a fine man. He was very involved in all aspects of the City of Chicago.

God Bless all of you

I had several opportunities to talk to John Trutter, while working in the Evanston Illinois sales office. He was a very helpful person.

No concert of Chicago Philharmonic was complete until dear John was seated in the audience. You were an inspiration. We will miss you deeply.

Our condolences to your entire family.
John was a wonderful and insightful leader. His humility and integrity were attributes that endeared him to us all. John gave all his energy to the disabled and their quest for accessibility at home, around the city and in education.
The UCP Board of Directors can only hope to live up to his example and legacy.
May God bless John and you, his loving family.

Great man; wonderful boss; typified the best of old IBT ~ HHZ

My dad, Walter Lehnert, worked for Illinois Bell for 45 years in public relations at the downtown headquarters. He passed away 4 years ago. Mr. Trutter was my dad's boss and I remember him talking about him. Mr. Trutter was a leader with UCP, my adult daughter has CP and is doing well.
