Lewallen-Garcia-Pipkin Funeral Home Obituary

John Warren Tsesmelis, age 67, went to be with his Lord and savior on March 1, 2024. He was born on May 2, 1956 in Alice, TX and lived most of his life in Midland, TX.

John embarked on his professional journey after graduating from Alice High School. His career began in the oilfield, where he held various roles. John often quipped that he had worked “from the ground to the crown” before eventually finding his niche in Safety Consulting. His passion extended beyond the field; he thrived in the great outdoors, especially by the water’s edge at the lake. Whether it was camping, fishing, jet skiing, or golfing, John reveled in the natural world. He also delighted in the peace of riding motorcycles, with the wind in his hair. But above all, he cherished moments spent with his beloved wife and family—cooking out, sharing laughter, and listening to music. John’s legacy will forever echo through the memories he created with those he loved.

He is preceded in death by his Father, John Gust Tsesmelis, Mother, Louetta Warren, Brother, John “Bubba” Tsesmelis Jr. He is survived by his wife, Rhonda “Missy” Tsesmelis; Sisters, Linda Miller and Roseanne Doughty; Children, Wendy Ruiz and husband Danny Ruiz, Christina Freeman and husband Marc Freeman, Christopher Tsesmelis and wife Vanessa Tsesmelis, Shawn Tsesmelis and Blaine Tsesmelis; Step Daughters, Angela Caswell and Terra Henry; Grandchildren, Phillip Ruiz, Shannon Gallardo, Brandon Ruiz, Max Henry, Collin Tsesmelis, Aiden Caswell, Brody Henry, Gracelyn Caswell, Christopher Tsesmelis, Elizabeth Tsesmelis, Claire Freeman; Great-Grandchildren, Ryleigh Ruiz, Braxton Ruiz, JoLene Gallardo, Sophia Gallardo; Nieces, Nephews, extended family, in laws, and many friends.

John, a cherished soul, touched the hearts of many. His absence leaves an immense void, and he will forever be remembered with love and longing.

A celebration of John’s life will be held on March 23, 2024 at 3 pm at 5019 N. County Rd 1278, Midland, TX 79707.
