John and I first met about seven years ago at the Innsbrook library. Following a discussion about our mutual interest in books on history, we were saying our goodbyes. Then John got our phone number and said that his wife would be calling us. Paulette made that call to Julie that same afternoon. That began years filled with golf, dinners in the St. Louis area and in Hilton Head, conversations and laughs over drinks, boat rides in South Carolina and dinners at each other´s homes. John...

We worked together at Deloitte (formerly Touche Ross) but then became each other's clients. He prepared my taxes, and I helped him buy or sell multiple homes. He was a wonderful father, husband, and friend to so many, and he and his sense of humor will be terribly missed.
