It was the summer after my 8th grade year when Mike called me to let me know that he had decided to overturn a previous decision of the admissions staff to refuse me admission to Culver. I needed a break, and Mike gave me that break, a kindness that profoundly changed the trajectory of my life.
Mike, I will always be grateful for the opportunity you gave me. Thank you.

As a classmate of Mike's, I was deeply saddened to hear of his passing. Of the many memories I have of Mike during our HS years in Northville, I will always remember him as a terrific teammate, gifted both academically and athletically and a humble leader.
