Not sure what to say?

Linda & Karen, I think of your Mon and Dad often. I remember all the great times we had with them. At the Hamilton home or down the shore. They were always fun to be with and your Dad like to dance!! Take care Love Ellen Metzger

since I am an Honor Guard at Washington Crossing National Cemetery and will serve today I will salute him at our first service. John was a good fireman and a great guy.

I was sad to run across this obit of the father of a neighborhood friend from years ago. Karen, it seems like a world ago when we were kids enjoying sleep overs and birthday parties on Cuyler Ave.! I live in Arizona now but still recall the days of my youth when we didn't have a care in the world! Praying for you and your family!

My sincere condolences Linda and Karen in the passing of your dad. You used to live a door away from me on Quinton Ave. in Trenton, then I caught up with him and Ann at the TFD. He was a great guy and friend. Your memories will keep John's spirit alive in your hearts.

Linda, Karen & Family - Captain Turner was a great leader, and took great pride in the fact that he had so many men from his crews become officers. He not only was my captain, we also became long time fishing buddies and friends, for many years.
He will be greatly missed. RIP Cap

I worked for Big John at Ladder 1 for a few years until I got promoted. There never was a better teacher or role model. He was a real stand up guy.

Linda and David - I am so sorry to hear of John's passing. Although I am now retired, I remember John (and Ann) so well from Capital Cardiology. John kept us entertained from the moment he walked in the door! We always looked forward to seeing them both. I can only imagine how he kept everyone laughing at the fire house. Joan Silverman

He was & always will be the hero of my heart. I was blessed to have him as my father.
