Not sure what to say?

As the anniversary of your death approaches it's hard to believe it's been three years already. I hope that your family is grieving a bit less and can remember the best of times with you with less pain and more joy. I continue to appreciate all you did for me during my time at Carleton and afterwards. We will always share the University of Chicago and the wisdom of Dr. Reddy at the NIH as part of our mutual stories. Thank you again and rest in peace my friend and mentor.

I thought of John only a couple days ago. I miss his infectious laugh, his energy, positive attitude and clever wisdom. He had a huge influence on my life and I am forever grateful for his personal interest in helping me achieve my dreams, and in his encouragement and mentoring. I hope you are at rest...or at least biking somewhere beautiful.

Professor Tymoczko gave me the confidence to pursue my dreams. He will be sorely missed.

He helped me personally get a research job at the NIH right out of Carleton that led to my next research job at NYU and ultimately med school at University of Chicago. He had a big role in my career success and I will be...
