Dr. Updegrove made my OR orientation
enjoyable. He was a kind and patient
teacher to all the new OR staff.
It was a pleasure to work with him.

I would like to send my sincere condolencs to the family of this most beloved doctor. I had to have surgery and had no insurance "back in the day". This fine doctor performed the surgery. I know that his descendants will be blessed from generation to generation.

Dear Ruby and family,
I was so saddened to learn of John's death. He was such an outstanding doctor, friend, and person.
We always had a lot in common, your children being the same ages as ours, our husbands in the same office building with our memories of the "Wing Dings",and our many outings to the college football games.
John will certainly be missed by all whose many lives he touched.

But non-the-less, he was part Captain of the Ship. When he spoke,...

To the Updegrove Family: My thoughts and prayers are with all of you during this great loss. Dr. John was a good man, a great health care provider and a wonderful human being. I will always remember that fly fishing trip with him in 1972 and our trip to Easton Anglers in 2009. He was an ethical man and a wonderful human being.
