We lived on the same cul de sac with John's parents for many years in Raleigh. We are thinking of Joan and all of this wonderful family as they mourn John's death.

My deepest condolences Nancy, I was a big fan of John's. He was always so funny and lighthearted. He was always super warm to me. He was a mentor of sorts for me in the first 10 years at Northwestern. Man, its crazy to think how fast the last 14 years has gone by since he retired from here. He was the one guy in the office who had this very specific connection to me: we both interned at Walt Disney World in the College Program! We chatted about that often! He will be missed!!! Josh
