I was very saddened to hear about John's passing. My sister and I went to Terwilliger Grade School together. I was in John's class and my sister, Barbara, was in Mardi's class. A small school and close knit. John was always a stand up guy and always a snappy dresser. Although I never met you Kathy, my thoughts go out to you and your family.

John was a lovely person, and I have very fond memories of him from our time together in the Portland Active 20-30 Club many years ago. I regret our paths didn't cross after those days.

Kathy and family, we were saddened to hear of John's passing. He was such a kind and gentle soul and a wonderful mentor to so many. I treasure my 16 years working with him at Gibson Bowles. He was one in a million and will be greatly missed. May he rest in peace with the Lord.

John was one of those rare souls who was able to teach us to be better people just by example. Whenever I get off track, and need to find my calm center, I often think of John's professional yet caring personality. He inspired so many people and went home way too early. He is greatly missed.

With deepest sympathy to you all. Though our getting to know each other was just a short while ago, the memories of that time will be long lasting. God bless and bring you peace.
